Last week I had the privilege to participate in a panel session organized by the Nevada Library Association. It was attended by people interested in the librarian profession and planning to attend library school to pursue a master degree in library and information science.
As a panelist I represented the school I graduated from - the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, the School of Information Studies.
All panelists shared their personal experience, their challenges along the way and some insightful tips how to cope with the stress and how to manage the huge workload at school while working a full-time job.
Panelists also shared some pieces of advice with the attendees, as well as in what way the MLIS degree enhanced their skill set and how this helps them on a daily basis at work.
